Professor Pascal Perez (SMART, Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences ) and Associate Professor Clare Murphy (Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health) attended the 5th University Global Partnership Network Workshop on Air Quality, Climate, and Health held at the University of Surrey (Guildford, UK).

Organised by Professor Prashant Kumar (University of Surrey),  the workshop was attended by representatives from each contributing university, including Professor Yang Zhang (NCSU, USA), Professor Maria de Fatima Andrade (USP, Brazil) and many other European experts on urban air quality monitoring and modelling.

The workshop was launched by Professor Paul Smith, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Professor Abigail Bristow, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The workshop gave also the opportunity to explore future research and education collaborations between the four universities.
