The Second Australian Sintering Symposium was held at The University of Wollongong on Monday 30th October 2017.  The forum was for invited speakers from universities, CSIRO and industry to share results of research in the area of iron ore sintering.   The first half of the day was made up of researcher/student presentations on current research in sintering. The second half of the day involved reporting of mineralogy analyses for a standard sinter sample.

The Symposium was a great success – amongst many aspects, it permitted the exchange and vigorous discussion of ideas, between PhD candidates, research fellows, experienced researchers, academics and industrial technologists.

This was a joint initiative of two industrial transformation hubs: the ARC Research Hub for Advanced Technologies for Australian Iron Ore and the ARC Research Hub for Australian Steel Manufacturing.
